enchanted to meet you

My first album was red. I liked songs from previous albums before then, mostly Our Song & Should've Said No, but a friend gave me RED in early 2013 because she couldn't believe I wasn't already listening to it on repeat. I obviously had to own each album after that!

Over the next 10 years, Taylor's music would become a huge part of so many core memories. Like many other Swifties, each song felt like someone was narrating my life. I blasted 1989 at my bridal shower and bachelorette party in 2015. I stuck by Taylor during her reputation era, and the reputation tour was my first concert of hers that I attended in 2018 with my mom, aunts and cousins and became tradition (or so we thought at the time). The first two songs I learned to play [amateurly] on the guitar were Cornelia Street and Death By a Thousand Cuts from the Lover album. I've since introduced both of my kids to Taylor's music, and in 2023 my daughter asked for a Taylor Swift birthday party which I obviously jumped at the opportunity to throw.

In May 2023, I scored "reasonably-priced" floor seats to the Eras Tour in Foxborough, MA literally an hour before the show started. Running into Gillette Stadium again with my mom and cousin, we sat down in the 6th row literally 90s before Taylor took the stage with "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince." A friend commented on Instagram a few days later that "the joy and excitement you get from seeing one of your favorite artists up close like that lasts for years" and they are RIGHT. I honestly felt so inspired by the music and the fandom after that show that I decided to do something I've wanted to do since Etsy rose to fame and started my own Etsy shop creating Taylor Swift-inspired apparel, art and gifts.

I am a marketer by trade so I live in puns, products and emotions. I love my job in global cybersecurity marketing but it does leave my creative bucket a little empty, especially for someone with a fashion and design background. After starting this shop, I found myself filling that creative bucket again - either on my lunch break or at night after my kids go to bed. AND I LOVE IT! Pairing a witty Taylor Swift lyric like "grab your passport and my hand" to a weekender bag actually makes me giddy. And even better is helping Swifties everywhere celebrate their fandom and commemorate how Taylor has affected their core memories! I'm honestly just having so much FUN!

I live about 20-minutes from the beach in RI with my husband, daughter, son, mom and our golden retriever Cooper. We are all pretty hardcore Swifties (including my husband who said her reputation tour production ruined all other concerts for him!) and you can usually find an era being played in one or two rooms in our house. Our Spotify defaults to either Taylor Swift or Disney music, and my kids and I jam out to Shake It Off multiples times each weekend (that song still hits every time).

Fun fact: as a RI-native, my mom almost reached out to Taylor to see if she would host my bridal shower at her Westerly, RI beach Home - Holiday House! How cool would that have been?!
